Flag of Each Country with a Description
AustriaThe flag of Austria consist of three horizontal bands of red on the top, white in the middle, and red on the bottom again. The flag design was adopted in 1230 based off of the Third Crusade battle when Duke Leopold V of Austria's white tunic was covered in blood splatter at the removal of his wide belt.

BelgiumThe Belgium flag was officially adopted on January 23, 1831, and was designed to show Belgium's recognition as an independent country. The flag consists of 3 equal vertical bands with black on left representing the color of Brabant's coat of arm, the gold in the middle symbolizing the lion, and the red on the right symbolizing the lion's claws and tongue.

FranceThe French flag was officially adopted on February 15, 1794 which consists of three vertical bands with blue on the left, white in the middle and red on the right. These tricolor reflects humanistic values with red representing liberty, white representing equality and blue representing fraternity.

GermanyThe German flag has 3 horizontal tricolor stripes, with black on the top, red in the middle, and yellow on the bottom. With Germany trying to be freed from foreign rule and create a unified country, the Lutzow Free Corps and the Jena Student's League during the Napoleonic Wars wore black uniforms with gold and red accessories.

Liechtenstein The Liechtenstein flag was adopted on September 18, 1982 and was derived from the livery color of Liechtenstein's royal household during the 18th century. The blue on the top represents the color of a radiant sky and the red represents the color of the embers in the fireplace during evening gatherings with a gold of the crown on the top left corner. The gold crown represents their people, their country, and their unity in heart and spirit in their princely House and symbolizes the Princely authority and the bond between Liechtenstein's prince, the state and the people

LuxembourgThe flag has 3 horizontal equal tricolor of red on the top, white in the middle, and light blue on the bottom in 1845, but it was not officially adopted until 1972. The red, white, and blue coloring was derived from the coat of arms of the Grand Duke of Luxembourg, Count Henry VI that dates all the way back to the medieval times or the 13th century. The red stripe represents the red lion on the coat of arms, the white stripe represents the field of which the lion was placed on top of, and the blue stripe also represents the field.

NetherlandsThe Netherlands flag consists of 3 horizontal stripes color with red on the top, white in the middle and blue on the bottom are based off of the heraldic colors of Prince William of Orange. The flag was once orange, but over time the color was unstable and faded due to the sun's exposure and turned red. The Netherlands flag is really similar to Luxembourg flag but the blue stripe is darker.

Traditionally, the flag stands for freedom, honor, and fidelity but in modern times now, the flag represents neutrality, democracy, peace, and refuge.
