Impacts of Physical Features on Western Europe
Western Europe has multiple major rivers that have been very useful in terms of attractions like in Amsterdam, Netherlands and Paris, France. The only problem with all these rivers is that when there is a lot of rainfall, it is very easy for these places to be flooded. There are also quite a few mountains that also work as tourist attractions such as Mount Mulhacen or Mount Etna. The North European Plain provides a vast amount of land for agriculture, expansion of industries and the need to expand cities for extra land, attractions, and opportunities. So all in all most of the land features in Western Europe are either beautiful attractions or serve as some kind of economic and social advantage.

How the Borders Have Changed Over Time
When the historical map and the political map are compared, it is obvious that the borders has changed over time. It can be seen that most of Western Europe was once recognized or formally know as only France. One of the biggest impact on the changes in borders was World War II. During World War II, the Axis power and the Soviet Union had redivided areas as they were under their control. Another huge impact on the changes in borders are the many wars countries had among each other for land. Many treaties were signed to help define territories or otherwise known know as borders among each other because many empires and territories wanted their own independence.
